If you prefer, watch a video about the flow area in Pipefy:
Reading Time: 2 minutes
All processes, or pipes, inside Pipefy are composed of elements that you can customize according to your needs, such as forms, phases, fields and much more.
You can view your pipe in different ways (in List view or Kanban board). Through the flow area you can see the pipe in its entirety, from beginning to end. With it, you get better understanding of the whole workflow and edit phases and fields, easily identifying which points can be improved.
🔔 Attention: You must have an administrator level member to access the flow area.
How to access your process flow
Access your process flow by clicking the Form button, on the header, and then Edit. Here, we have a screen with different tabs related to the process, such as Start Form, Phases, Members, Emails and, at the beginning, Flow. Finally, click on the flow button to view the end-to-end process flowchart.
In your process flow, you can zoom out to see the entire flowchart or zoom in to check the details up close, as you prefer, navigating among the phases of the process. The first input source of your process is a form, which can be shared off-platform with others through the Public Form.
You can also receive inputs into your process in different ways, such as by email (read more about the Shared Inbox), automations or integrations.
In your process flow, you can clearly see that the form is the first element to start the process; a step that is not a phase itself. You can check the form fields (mandatory fields appear with an asterisk next to them), and even enable or disable the Public Form here.
Click on the edit button, found in the upper right corner of your workflow's forms and phases, to customize that specific item. With flow arrows, you see the next phases in the process and how they relate to each other; the Start Form will always lead to the first stage.
Cards can go into a single phase or multiple phases, depending on your customization. Inside the process flow, this is very clear with arrows that appear whenever you hover over the phases. So, at a glance, you already know how the whole process is connected.
With your process flow, you see all the fields for a specific phase, customize the workflow with clarity and ease, and understand how the pieces of the process fit together from beginning to end. The pipe flowchart ensures full visibility and makes it easier for you to customize fields and phases of the process.
