If your company has processes that depend on other processes, you can connect a phase of a certain pipe to a start form of another, to ease information flow and prevent errors.
For example:
Connect the "won" phase in a Sales CRM to the Customer Onboarding start form.
Whenever you approve a Purchase Request, transfer that information to new cards in the Accounts Payable pipe.
When candidates accept a job offer, send their data to the employee onboarding start form.
Is also possible to set this connection between pipes from different departments:
When a card gets to the Negotiation phase in a Sales CRM, connect it to the Contract Analysis start form.
How to connect start forms and phases
The first step is to connect the pipes, so they can transfer data for each other.
Next, open the pipe where is the phase you want to add the connection. Hover the cursor over it, and click on the gear button to edit.
On the next page, scroll down until you find on the left side of the screen, the connection fields.
Select the option pipe connection.
Give it a name, and choose the pipe you want to connect.
In the field function, choose the option create record to set the connection between the Start Form and the pipe.
In the number of connected items, define how many cards this connection will allow.
Advanced options are related to card movements, and parent and child cards — which come with the card history from another process.
You can also add a description, help text, and make the field mandatory.
